Interreg Tags International Conference: Sustainability of agri-food systems 4-5 November 2020

CREA Agriculture and Environment, as Lead Partner of the TAGs project organizes the International Conference on “Sustainability of agri-food systems” followed by the Workshop on “Application of technological tools in agricultural production”, on 4 and 5 November 2020 (9.00-13.00 Italian Time).

The 2 events will give the chance to representatives from Public Authorities, Universities, public and private Research and Technology Organizations, trade associations, agricultural enterprises, local action groups for rural development, to share experiences, best practices and new ideas aiming to pave the way for future cooperation on precision agriculture.

TAGs project aims to stimulate and promote technological and business innovations in agriculture sector and create a heterogeneous cross border multidisciplinary cluster, composed by research and innovation actors, policy makers and enterprises from West Greece and Apulia regions. Thanks to TAGs project, Agro-food SMEs and research organizations are working together to make food processing industry more efficient and reduce environmental impact.

TAGs project – Technological and business innovation services to stimulate the local Agro-Food ecosystems and to support a cross border collaboration among local action Groups – is coordinated by the Agricultural Research and Economics Council of Bari (CREA). The partners are, on the Italian side, CETMA of Brindisi and the Local Action Group “Land of Trulli and Barsento” while, on the Greek side, the Technological Training Institute of the Region of Western Greece and the Region of Western Greece, both based in Patras.

The challenge of TAGs project is to launch a path to stimulate and promote technological and business innovations in the agricultural sector to create a cross-border cluster composed by research and innovation actors, policy makers and enterprises from Western Greece and Puglia.
