Interreg Triton project launches a call for the selection of 16 public officials, GIS technicians and operators, scholars and experts (8 residing in Italy and 8 in Greece) who will attend the Summer School on the issue of sustainable management of coastal heritage and actions to reduce coastal erosion.
It is a training and information course for public officials and professionals aimed at improving their skills in coastal management planning and actions against coastal erosion.
How to participate
The potential candidates must complete the attached form (Annex 1 with Annex 2), which describes the competences of the candidates, as well as documents valid for travelling in Greece and Italy (passport or identity card), to be sent exclusively at the PEC address: arti@pec.rupar.puglia.it with the “Summer School” object.

Summer School Programme
Participation in the Summer School is for free and the students will benefit of travel and accommodation costs reimbursement (up to a maximum of 700 euros).
The Summer School is articulated in six days divided in two modules, one to be held in Western Greece and one in Puglia.
a) The Western Greece module includes 2 days of lessons at the Museum of Science and Technology of University of Patras and a study visit to the Patraikos gulf (which is affected by relevant erosion phenomena), respectively on September 24, 25 and 26, 2019.
b) The Puglia module includes 3 days of lessons in Bari on October 1, 2 and 3 and a study visit at the Bari pilot case, on October 1.
The initiative is addressed to public officials, GIS technicians and operators, scholars and experts in the sector, with the twofold objective of expanding skills and exchanging transversal experiences at technical level (geological, engineering, landscape, administrative).
The course will be delivered by Apulia Region (project leader), in collaboration with ARTI, and the Triton project partners and includes lectures, visits and project works. The official language of Summer School is English.
