Celebrating together European Cooperation Day: 9 october 2020

A full day to celebrate cooperation and 30 years of INTERREG, to tell about common territories and identities, to discuss the results of European territorial cooperation in the 2014-20 period and to identify common strategies and actions for the new programming phase. Cooperation stories in the Mediterranean area is the title of ECday 2020.

The initiative, organized by Puglia Region – Office for International Policy Coordination, in collaboration with the ETC programmes Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro, Interreg V-A Greece-Italy and ENI CBC MED, will be held on 9 October at the Fiera del Levante in Bari.

The meeting entitled “Cooperation for Tourism and Culture in the Mediterranean area” will open the day (Hall 152 – 9.30/13.30), with presentation of project results and a discussion about the 2021-27 programming phase. Project videos focused on culture and tourism will be screened throughout the day.

In the afternoon there will be the Film Festival “The journey and the memory” (Cineporto – 14.30/18.30), with screening of 19 short films produced by the projects CIRCE (Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro) and CIAK (Interreg V-A Greece-Italy), both led by Apulia Film Commission.

In the afternoon there will be a Networking event entitled, Cooperation work creates enterprise: Networking among the start-ups trained and supported by several funded projects of Interreg Greece-Italy Programme, (Pavillon 152 room 3 h 15-17.30).

The start-ups born from the cooperation projects Craft-Lab, Incuba, Pit Stop, Sparc and Traces will present experiences, ideas and future perspective. An event to share cooperation stories, contaminate the different worlds of start-ups and sow the seeds of networking for future planning. With the participation of the Silverwellbeing and Yess projects.

From 3 October until 11 October, there is also Craft-Lab exhibition “From residencies to design and art start-ups: regenerating craftsmanship” (Furniture Pavilion, stand n. 424-425).
