For prudential reasons related to the medical emergency, the workshop and the technical visit, scheduled on 9 March are postponed. The new data will be communicated.
Interreg Triton and Interreg Blue Boost organize the workshop “Coastal planning, innovation and sustainability in the blue economy” at the Archaeological Museum of Ugento (Lecce, Italy) on 9th March. The workshop is organized by Puglia Region and ARTI (Regional Technology and Innovation Agency) in collaboration with the Order of Engineers of the Province of Bari.
The morning’s works (11:00 – 13:30), introduced by Massimo Lecci, mayor of Ugento, will start with a session dedicated to the Triton project on coastal planning in Puglia and the Ugento experience, identified as a pilot case together with Bari and Patras (Greece) for the actions carried out to mitigate the effects of erosion.
Speakers of this slot will be: Giuseppe Pastore, Apulia Region, Head of the Internationalization Section, Giuseppe Roberto Tomasicchio, University of Salento, Simona Bramato, University of Salento and the Municipality of Specchia, Elisa Furlan, CMCC, Giuseppe Forte, Puglia Region, Coastal and Port State Property Department.
Then, there will be a session focused on the Blue Boost project on innovation and sustainability in the blue economy, in which the initiatives awarded with the “Blue Vouchers” will be presented by: Crescenzo Marino, Puglia Region, Head of the Research, Innovation and Institutional Capacity Section, Michele Chieco, Puglia Regional Council, Renato Pacella, Emys, and Michele Fiorentino, Polytechnic of Bari, project “Mediterranean Interactive Floor – M.I.F.”, Francesca Calabrese of Apphia, “Sea Reader” project, Monica Renna of GLocal, “NAiF – Nature Adventures in Frassanito” project, Michela Cariglia, Gargano Shell Fish Farm, Caterina Longo, University of Bari, “AsMar” project. Nicolò Carnimeo, University of Bari, will be the moderator of the workshop and the conclusions will be edited by Carlo Gadaleta Caldarola, ARTI project manager for Triton and Blue Boost.
After a short break, the initiative will continue in the afternoon (14:30 – 15:00) with a visit to the Ugento case study, by Simona Bramato, and a visit to the EUMER laboratory (Ecotekne Lecce), by Giuseppe Roberto Tomasicchio from University of Salento.
Participation in the event is for free, but with a limited number.
OIBA has attributed n. 3 CFP (professional training credits) for the participation in the technical visit.
