Greece-Italy Monitoring Committee approved 5 strategic projects

On 26th February 2019, during the 6th Monitoring Committee meeting held in Ioannina, (Greece), the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Monitoring Committee approved 5 strategic projects, under the call for targeted project proposals.

 

TheRoute_Net “Thematic routes and networks” and Cohen ”Costal Heritage Network” are the 2 projects approved under Priority Axis 2 Integrated Environmental Management, Specific Objective 2.1 “Valorisation of cultural heritage and natural resources as a territorial asset of the Programme Area”.

Lead Beneficiary of TheRoute_Net project is the Region of Epirus with a budget of € 21.115.000,00

Ephorate of Antiquities of Aitoloakarnania Kai Lefkada is Lead Beneficiary of the Cohen project with a budget of € 6.425.000,00.

Best “Addressing joint Agro- and Aqua-Biodiversity pressures Enhancing SuSTainable Rural Development” is the project approved under Priority Axis 2 Integrated Environmental Management, Specific Objective 2.2,“Improvement of joint management and governance plans for biodiversity of coastal and rural ecosystems, paying attention on natural resources and protected areas and development of environmental with a budget of € € 5.380.000,00. LeadBeneficiary is the Region of Ionian Islands.

AI Smart “Adriatic Ionian SMAll PoRT Network” is the project approved under Priority Axis 3 Cross Border and Sustainable Transport System, Specific Objective 3.1 “Boosting maritime transport, short-sea shipping capacity and cross-border ferry connectivity”, with a budget of € 17.250.000,00. Lead Beneficiary is the Apulia Region – Department of Mobility, Urban Quality, Public Works, Ecology and Landscapes.

CREATIVE@HUBs “Holistic networking of creative industries via hubs” is the project approved under Priority Axis 1 Innovation and Competitiveness, Specific Objective 1.1 “Delivering innovation support services and developing clusters across borders to foster competitiveness”, with a budget of € 10.000.000,00. Lead Beneficiary is the Region of Western Greece.

The 5 strategic funded projects have a financial budget of about 60.170.000,00 million euro. The budget of the 5 funded projects will be optimized, before the final contracting.
