International Conference about Health Tourism: 14-15 December 2020

The National Organization for Health Care Services Provision – EOPYY is going to organize a two-day, online, International Conference about Health and Medical Tourism, in the frame of In-MedTouR project.

The Conference entitled «International Conference about Health Tourism» will be held via web on Monday, 14th December and Tuesday 15th 2020, from 17:00 pm to 20:30 pm, Athens.

The purpose of the Conference is to highlight the importance of Health Tourism, a term that refers to the process of travelling in order to combine health services and leisure activities. Furthermore, useful information will be provided not only to experts, but also to the wider public about state-of the art evolutions in various sectors of Health Tourism such as cosmetics surgery, dental services, wellness, fertility. The Conference also features speakers of the above mentioned fields who are expected to contribute to the exchange of information and best practices each one in his field of specialization. During the closing session, a discussion about what we should expect in the future from Health Tourism takes place. Moreover, the Conference offers an excellent opportunity to experts in Health Tourism for networking and perhaps setting the basis for cooperation in the future in other health tourism projects.

The project In-MedTouR – “Innovative Medical Tourism Strategy”, is co-funded for 897.703, 80€ by the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme 2014- 2020. The beneficiaries are: the National Organization for Health Care Services Provision – EOPYY- (Lead Beneficiary-Greece), the Greek Ministry of Tourism, the Municipality of Santa Cesarea Terme (Italy), the University of Patras – Special Account for Research Grants (Greece), Department of Business Administration and the Chamber of Commerce of Brindisi (Italy).
