Interreg Sparc: public call to select 20 musicians

Teatro Pubblico Pugliese – Regional Consortium for Art and Culture launches a public call to select 20 musicians under 35, to take part in the workshop “Puglia Music Lab”, that will be held in Putignano at I MAKE Urban Laboratory from 3rd to 6th of September.

Four national and international renowned musicians will be the teachers: Cesare Pastanella (percussionist, facilitator of Drum Circle, coauthor of Faraualla and Tavernanova); Antongiulio Galeandro (accordionist, author of music for cinema, theater and contemporary dance, co-founder of Folkabbestia, Quintetto X, Opa Cupa); Giovannangelo De Gennaro (flutist, singer, multi-instrumentalist, co-founder of the Calixtinus Ensemble) and Nabil Bey (ethnomusicologist, singer, author, co-founder of Radiodervish).

The goal of the laboratory is to create a music HUB in Puglia, with the artistic coordination of Puglia Sounds, that will work as a service center for the musicians, aiming to encourage the know-how and the development of skills, new opportunities and collaborations for the creation of creative start-ups.

The workshop is funded by Interreg Sparc – Creativity hubs for sustainable development through the valorization of cultural heritage assets. The Municipality of Patras is the project Lead Partner in cooperation with Apulian Public Theater, Puglia Region – Department of Tourism, Economics of Culture, Enhancement of the territory, the Region of Western Greece and the Chamber of Commerce of Achaia.
