The Craft Lab workshops have begun! Three cities, 30 young artists selected through an open call, six teachers and 3 technical operators are working together on this magnificent adventure between art and craft.
Young artists have started their ceramic laboratory in Grottaglie (1-19 July) and fabric workshops in Martina Franca ( 9-29 July), while on 26 August the mosaic paths will begin in Gravina di Puglia. Ancient techniques and crafts are updated and renewed thanks to new technologies and the languages of art, promoting youth entrepreneurship and job opportunities in these sectors.
At the end of the training courses, free technical support service will lead the young artists to set three start-ups up in Puglia and in the Region of the Ionian Islands. In addition, thanks to the project Craft Lab, Pino Pascali Foundation, lead partner of the project, purchased specific equipment useful for the laboratories such as table lathe, clay decantation tank, frame, fabrics.
