Path second project meeting: new touristic routes to discover Western Greece and Puglia

The second meeting of the P.A.T.H. cross-border cooperation project, “Promoting Area Attractiveness through hiking and introducing a different touristic approach”, was held on 18 and 19 December in Bari at the Premises of the Construction Technologies Institute, National Research Council of Italy (ITC-CNR Via Paolo Lembo 38/B) at 10:00 a.m.

The meeting has been the occasion for ITC-CNR to present the tests carried out using 360° video camera along some of naturalistic paths in the Regional Natural Reserves of Taranto and in the Alta Murgia National Park. Here are the links to view the geo location of the paths:

The paths will be shared using an interactive multimedia map that ITC-CNR is implementing. The map will allow to the end users to plan their visit according to their own needs, by giving detailed information about routes and attractions.

P.A.T.H. project, financed for 864.000,00 euro under Priority Axis 2 – Integrated Environmental Management of the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme, aims to create new thematic routes in Western Greece and Puglia, which will offer to the visitors the opportunity to discover the natural and cultural heritage of the involved areas.

ITC-CNR is one of the Italian partners of this project, together with the Management Body of the Regional Natural Reserves of Taranto and the Alta Murgia National Park, while on the Greek side the partners are the Region of Western Greece and the Regional Union of Municipalities of Western Greece, as Lead Beneficiary.
